This document combines everything I have learned in three years of studying The Secret, The Science of Getting Rich, The Science of Being Well, Think and Grow Rich, the Abraham-Hicks books, and associated books and information. It is a synthesis of information, an efficient presentation of my many hours of effort in comprehending this material. It is NOT intended to give theories or stories; it is not here to inspire or explain. It is a bare-bones how-to guide with only the essentials. Do ALL of the steps! You will get no benefit from this article if you do not transfer these action items to your daily planner or calendar and do them!
First, the biggest and simplest truth - almost everything in life is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Everything below is designed to prophesy good things for yourself in word, action, and thought.
a. Pick a specific, positively-stated, and STRONG desire. Write it down & keep it placed somewhere you'll see it often. If you can't settle on what you want, focus on the feeling you want to achieve. "To be happy and feel safe all the time" is a fine desire. I advise aiming for one major thing at a time. Make sure it's a strong desire or it simply won't motivate you to keep going.
b. Resolve to attain your desire. MEAN IT. Make up your mind that this time will be different.
a. Shift your attention from the current reality to the desired reality. You must stop thinking about your current circumstances, their causes, and possible resolutions, and turn your attention to the new reality you are going to create, instead. Here is how, step-by-step:
First step - eliminate the old. Go through your home, office, email, etc., and remove the evidence of the current circumstances you don't want. Also remove or hide your signs of fear - don't prepare for negative eventualities, or you'll draw them in. Look around - what is a negative reminder? What makes you feel bad? Trash or hide it. As you clean house, resolve to leave behind your old problems and stop worrying abou them.
Second step - introduce the new. Put reminders of the desired new reality all over the place. You can do this in one day. Think - what makes you think about your dream in a hopeful way? What's a positive reminder? What makes you feel optimistic about getting there? What will keep your spirits up?
Third step - brainstorm ways in which you can "make believe" and "act as if" your desired reality is already here. What kind of play-acting gets you into the right spirit of things? How can you go ahead and start *now*? What makes you feel one step closer? How can you generate the feelings of having your desired outcome now? Schedule one activity for each of the coming few weeks.
Also, as a general rule, act and speak as if you already had the success you wish you did. Eliminate complaining, worrying, whining, and blaming from your thoughts and speech. All of that is behind you now. Represent yourself as already being who you wish you were.
b. Self-program to create new habits that support your desire. Each night, use visualization to program your subconscious with new habits that support your goals. In doing this, consider how you can adopt the traits of people who have what you want. What new habits do you need to adopt? What self-destructive actions do you currently engage in? Where or when is it particularly hard to remember to think positive? Each night, imagine yourself in that same old situation, and imagine that you do the NEW habit instead of the old. Imagine it vividly and several times in a row every night until the new habit takes hold.
c. Visualize your desire. Once a day, intently visualize the END RESULT, with certainty that it is coming. Then release it to a friendly universe to manifest for you. Optionally, use a vision board, scrapbook, travel book, etc. to help you visualize more clearly. Try to create the feeling of having your dream right now.
Keys to visualization:
d. Use affirmations and instill positive new beliefs. Think over beliefs that will serve you well, and read them out loud twice a day with feeling and emphasis. What do you want to be true about you? About life? About your life? What traits do you wish you had? What do you wish you could believe? Assert that they are all true now! Do this persistently until you believe them!
e. Offer thanks at every turn for anything that is related to your desire, as well as for things that aren't. Consider carrying or wearing a gratitude stone, and offer thanks for something every time you touch it. Make sure you take enough time to really feel the gratitude for each thing.
f. Find inspiration. At least once each week, read inspiring books and listen to inspiring audio programs. Watch The Secret. Regular exposure to these principles helps immeasurably.
a. Apply specialized knowledge. This means going to people who have specialized knowledge of your situation and taking their advice, and it also means developing your own specialized knowledge as appropriate - but ONLY if it's more useful than consulting experts. Don't acquire the knowledge yourself if you don't have to. Make note now of what you need to know just to take the next few steps (don't get ahead of yourself!) and where you will find out the information you need. Plan a trip to the library or bookstore, phone calls, etc.
Note: if you are facing a health issue, gather just enough information to find a system or a doctor that you believe will heal you, and then do that system or follow that doctor's orders in faith. It is faith that heals, not systems or doctors, so just do what you believe will work for you. Do it persistently and stubbornly until you are well. Do NOT worry about your health.
b. Get help. Enlist others to help you, brainstorm with you, keep you on track, and inspire and encourage you. Set up a Master Mind group or a mutual success support group within the next two weeks. Invite people who have what you want to have as well, people you can admire and learn from.
c. Review and eliminate the common causes of failure for your particular goal. Don't go looking for things to worry about - just do some basic fact-finding, and use common sense to double-check the obvious things. Make a list and resolve them one by one. Get an associate's help to make sure you aren't minimizing or glossing over anything.
Do the things that you believe will get you closer to your goal, but ONLY because and when you really feel inspired to. Nothing should be drudgery or stressful. As Mike Dooley says, "You don't have to hit the home run - you just have to pitch the ball." Feel free to goof off when you don't feel inspired to take action. You have nothing to worry about.
As a corollary to this, when you feel inspired to take an action, DO IT IMMEDIATELY. Don't delay and lose your momentum.
The resources will appear and the certainty will come. Just give it time. Remember that the physical changes are the last manifestation. Right before huge things happen, nothing happens! So right now just keep going. Build momentum until the momentum carries you. Hold onto your faith!
Well, that's it! That is the complete process as I understand it from all the materials I have read. In some ways, I still feel like an amateur in this profound and mysterious process, but I hope that my efforts in consolidating these methods will be of some use to you!
